Tuesday 18th October – walk **** – Sunrise to Felixstowe Ferry – Sunny and warm with light winds.

Our van was booked in for an MOT at 8.20 and with sunrise at 7.24 we decided to get up early and drive down to
The Dip to walk down to the Ferry to catch the sunrise:) Parking just after 7 it was a tad on the chilly side but there was next to no wind, the sea was like a mill pool and it was lovely and quiet too as we set off, just perfect:) We stopped by the small lagoons near the golf course to watch a cormorant fishing and as we reached the Martello tower the sun made an appearance, I was taking some pics when an old friend arrived, she was out on her morning exercise walk. At the end of the tarmac path our friend turning point, Mag stayed to chat while I continued onto the Ferry taking pics all the way as it was just stunning. It was now getting on so I had to walk back quickly meeting up with Mag on the way, there were now loads of dog walkers about. Home for breakfast, sort out this morning’s pics before doing my exercises in the warm sunshine in the back garden. After lunch we picked up the van which passed the MOT spending the afternoon at an old friend.
There is a good wind from the east forecast tomorrow and I hope to get out windsurfing at The Dip to make the most of low water:)
